Download our CSV template, add your payees, then import the file inside the PayPilot app.
PayPilot CSV Template
A ready-to-fill spreadsheet with example rows for mortgage, utilities, subscriptions, insurance and custom recurring payments.
How to fill it in
- Download the CSV template using the button above.
- Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any text editor. Keep the first header row exactly as-is.
- Replace the sample rows with your own payees. Add one row per recurring payment.
- Leave a field blank if it doesn't apply — do not delete the comma separators.
- Save the file as CSV (comma-separated values).
- Open PayPilot on your device → Profile → Import Data and select your CSV file.
Column reference

| payee_name | Required | Name of the payee, e.g. "Chase Home Loan". |
| type | Required | One of: mortgage, rent, water, electricity, gas, internet, phone, subscription, vehicle_insurance, health_insurance, lawn_mowing, other. |
| category | Optional | Free-text category. Only needed when type is "other" (e.g. "Day Care"). Leave blank otherwise. |
| amount | Required | Payment amount in dollars. Use a period for decimals, no currency symbol. |
| frequency | Required | One of: weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, custom. |
| due_day | Conditional | Day of month (1–31) the payment is due. Use for monthly frequency. Leave blank for quarterly / custom. |
| anchor_date | Conditional | YYYY-MM-DD start date. Required for quarterly, yearly, and custom frequencies. |
| custom_interval_days | Conditional | Integer number of days between payments. Required when frequency is custom. |
| account_last4 | Optional | Last 4 digits of the account/card used. Leave blank if not applicable. |

Tip: quarterly, yearly and custom payments use anchor_date instead of due_day. Custom payments also need custom_interval_days.

Once your CSV is filled in, open PayPilot and head to Profile → Import Data. We'll validate every row and let you review before anything is added to your household.
